About East Fairview
Living With Jesus
Lost Follow Learn Grow
What does it mean to Live With Jesus? We believe that everyone is or has been Lost. But the good news is that Jesus came to seek the lost! After finding us, Jesus holds out his hand and says something incredible, “Follow me.” You see, Jesus invites us to Follow him. When you make the choice to follow Jesus, you will Learn a new way of life in his Kingdom. Even better, you will Grow to become more like him. And we believe that this is the good life!
In terms of our personal lives, we talk a lot about Lost, Follow, Learn, & Grow. These words are meant to capture something that we believe is very important – Discipleship. We’re not focused on accomplishments because Jesus has already accomplished everything for us on the cross. And that deserves a big Amen! But we are focused on who we’re becoming. We want to be intentional about stepping into the process of becoming disciples of Jesus Christ.
Together
Connected Communities Care
We believe in one God who is three in person: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. God has eternally existed in a relationship to himself which is the foundation of all community. God doesn’t want us to do life alone; instead, he wants us to do life together! When you live with Jesus, you become a part of a new community. And there’s a connection between everyone in this new community: it’s our love for God and one another… and Connected Communities Care for one another as we do life together.
So Others May Know Him
Share The Story
Everyone loves a good story, and God has been telling a story. It’s a story about forgiveness, redemption, new life, and most of all – Love. Now that we’ve become a part of God’s story, Jesus wants us to share this story with others. And the best way to do that is by sharing your story of how God’s forgiveness and love has changed your life. We want to see you become a part of God’s story and then go out and tell others all about that story!
Worship
Living a worshipful life
We believe that worship is at the heart of all that we should be and do. We want to worship God by living a worshipful life. That includes singing and praising God for giving us life, as well as becoming the type of people who reflect the image of God to a broken world by how we work, relate to others, and treat others.
