The angels declared “Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests.” Everyone wants peace. And so, we start working to make peace, educating people, writing better laws, or making better systems because we think that those things will bring us peace.
But the peace of a Christian is different. It’s not about education, laws, or social systems. The peace of a Christian is a person—Jesus Christ is our peace. We have peace with God because Jesus was born into this world to die on the cross. There’s no sin that God hasn’t taken care of on the cross. This Christmas, you’re invited to remember and experience the peace of God. You’re invited to find peace in the name of Jesus Christ.
